Ev Ortağım helps housemates manage shared expenses, keep track of rent and building fees, and see at a glance who owes whom.
After signing up, choose "Create Household" and share the invite code with your housemates. Invite codes expire 45 seconds after they are created; tap "Refresh" on the Profile screen to get a new one.
Every household has a permanent code starting with # (for example #K7Q2MX), shown in the household details on the Profile screen. It identifies the house — for example when you contact support — and unlike the invite code it does not let anyone join.
Every expense is split equally among the housemates. Each member's share is calculated automatically and reflected in the balances on the Home screen.
Electricity, Water, Natural Gas, Internet, Groceries, Cleaning, Kitchen, Food/Delivery, Digital Subscription, Shared Items, Repair/Maintenance, Doorman and Other. Rent and building fees are not in the New Expense screen; record them with one tap using "I Paid" on the Rent tab.
In the Current Debts list on the Payments tab, you see "I Paid" next to people you owe and "I Received Payment" next to people who owe you. Either way a confirmation request goes to the other person, and balances do not change until they approve it. If they reject it, the record is void. Track pending and resolved requests on the Approvals screen.
Type a name, note or amount into the search bar on the Payments tab. Use the filters below it to list only what you paid, what you received, approved or rejected payments.
Whoever creates the household is its admin and can make other members admins from Profile → Members. Admins can change rent, building fees and the deposit without waiting for approval, and remove members. Resets need the approval of every member, admins included. If the last admin leaves, all remaining members become admins. Every change an admin makes is sent to the other housemates and recorded in History.
Expenses you pay the same amount for every month (internet, a digital subscription, the doorman…) can be saved with "Repeat monthly" on the New Expense screen. Each month on the same day (or the last day of a shorter month) the expense is added automatically with you as the payer, the first time someone in the household opens the app that day, and split equally among that day's housemates. Pause, resume or delete the rules under Expenses → Recurring; the payer or a household admin can do this. If the payer leaves the household the rule is paused; "Reset Everything" also deletes recurring expenses. Creating a new recurring expense is a Premium feature.
"Month Summary" on the Expenses tab shows the chosen month's total, how much each person paid, the split by category and the current debts. "Share Summary" turns it into a message you can send to your household group on WhatsApp or any other app. With Premium you also get a 6-month spending chart and can export the month's expenses to Excel (CSV) or PDF.
Add chores such as taking out the rubbish, cleaning or washing up from the Chore Rota card on the Home screen. Each chore passes to the next person every day, week or month; the rota starts with whoever added the chore, the others follow in the order they joined, and "Edit Order" changes it. Once it is done, any housemate can tap "Done"; only the person who marked it can undo it. Someone who leaves drops out of the rota and newcomers are added at the end. Adding or deleting a chore, changing the order and every "Done" are recorded in History with who did it and when. When it is your turn, your phone reminds you at 09:00 that day; turn it off with App Settings → Notifications → Chore Rota. The chore rota is free.
Turn on "Rent Reminder" on the Rent tab and your phone reminds you every month at 10:00 the day before rent is due (or at 09:00 on the day itself if that time has passed). The reminders are set on your phone; the coming months are added whenever you open the app and follow changes to the rent day or amount. Turning the switch off removes the pending ones.
Tap "Scan Receipt" on the New Expense screen and take or pick a photo of the receipt: it is attached to the expense, its text is read on your phone, and the total, category and shop fill the empty fields. The other amounts found on the receipt are shown too; if the wrong line was picked, tap the right one. While the amount is empty, a receipt added with the "Receipt Photo" button at the bottom of the form is read the same way. Reading happens on the phone; the photo is not sent anywhere for it. Receipt scanning is a Premium feature and needs the current version of the app.
The "At Home in 2026" card on the Month Summary screen shows the household's whole year at a glance: total spending, monthly average, the biggest month and category, the biggest expense and chores done. Share the card as an image (Instagram, WhatsApp) or as text. The Year in Review is free.
Yes. On Android, long-press an empty spot on your home screen, open Widgets and pick Ev Ortağım; it comes in 5×2, 5×1 and 2×2. On iPhone, long-press an empty spot on your home screen, tap + at the top left and pick Ev Ortağım; it comes in small and medium sizes. You can add it to the iPhone lock screen too: press and hold the lock screen, tap Customize and add Ev Ortağım above or below the clock. It shows what you owe and are owed, your chore turn or this month's spending, and updates whenever you open the app. As it sits on your home screen, anyone looking at your phone can see it; remove it if you prefer. Signing out clears it.
On the Rent tab, enter a CPI rate to see the increased rent, then tap "Apply" to update the rent amount directly.
It restarts the balances between members from zero. Past expenses are kept; only a cut-off point is added to the balance calculation. Every member of the household has to approve, admins included; whoever sends the request counts as approved and the others approve or reject it on the Approvals screen. "Reset Everything" works the same way and permanently deletes all expenses, payments and history.
Use "Send Reminder" on the Home screen to send a debt, rent or free-text message to a housemate; "Send Notification" on an expense's detail page sends a reminder for that expense. Reminders arrive as in-app and push notifications; the recipient sees your IBAN under the reminder in their Notifications list and can copy it with one tap. If you receive an inappropriate reminder, tap ••• next to it in Notifications to report it or block the sender; you can remove blocks under App Settings → Blocked People.
You keep read-only access to expenses from before you left, but you cannot add expenses or take household actions. What you owed and were owed at that moment is recorded separately for each housemate: the notice your housemates receive states their own amount, and the records stay under "Balances with Former Members" on the Payments screen. A note can be added to each record (e.g. "to be deducted from the deposit"); once paid, the creditor or a household admin closes it and the other person is notified. These amounts are not part of the current balance. If you rejoin the same household later, your balance starts from zero.
Reminders from housemates, payment confirmation requests, admin changes to rent/fees/deposit, someone joining, leaving or being removed from the household, and new expenses your housemates add (with your share). If you turned them on, your phone itself also reminds you of rent day and your chore turns. Tapping a notification opens what it is about (the expense, Rent or Chore Rota). When someone leaves, the notification also states what they owed you or were owed by you; you are also told when a balance with a former member is closed. A red badge appears on the bell icon on the Home screen; tap it to see all notifications.
The "Push Notifications" switch under Profile → App Settings → Notifications turns all notifications to this phone on or off. You can also choose by type with the "Reminders", "Household Activity", "New Expenses" and "Chore Rota" switches; the rent reminder is switched on and off on the Rent tab. The in-app notification list stays up to date either way.
First make sure "Push Notifications" is on in Profile → App Settings. Some Android phones (especially Xiaomi/MIUI) restrict background notifications to save battery; you may need to enable "Autostart" for Ev Ortağım and turn off "Pause app activity if unused" in the phone settings.
Under Profile → App Settings → Appearance choose Light, Dark or System (follows your phone). Under Language choose Türkçe or English. Messages written by your housemates and History entries appear in the language they were written in.
It deletes temporary files and cached images the app has stored on your phone; use it to free up space or fix display issues. Your account, household, expenses and settings are not affected.
No. Ev Ortağım is a tracking app; it does not transfer money or perform banking transactions. You pay with your own banking app or in cash, then record it on the Payments tab.
Tap "Forgot Password" on the sign-in screen and enter the email address on your account. Set a new password with the verification code sent to your email. If the email does not arrive, check your spam folder; if it still does not arrive, write to destek@evortagim.app.
Tap "Continue with Google" (and on iPhone, "Continue with Apple") on the sign-in or sign-up screen. The first time, you only choose a username your housemates will find you by and accept the terms. Such an account has no separate password; if you like, set one under Profile → Account → "Set a Password" with a code sent to your email, and you can then also sign in with your username. If you choose "Hide My Email" with Apple, your account shows Apple's relay address.
The free version shows ads. Premium removes all ads from the app and unlocks recurring expenses, receipt scanning, the 6-month spending chart in the Month Summary and exporting the month's expenses to Excel or PDF. Monthly and Yearly plans renew automatically; the Lifetime plan is a one-time purchase. Subscribe from Profile → Ev Ortağım Premium.
To cancel, go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions on Android; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. To restore Premium on a new device or after reinstalling, tap "Restore Purchases" on the Premium screen. The same button reconnects your subscription if you are subscribed but Premium does not show (for example after signing out and back in) or you see an "already subscribed" message. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription; cancel it separately in the store.
Ev Ortağım shows ads in the free version; ads let us offer the app for free. If you prefer no ads, you can switch to Premium. Your ad preference (including tracking permission on iOS) is asked once, shortly after you start using the app — when you open the Profile tab for the third time; Google's consent form in Europe appears on first launch. Until then only non-personalized ads are shown. Ads are only chosen based on your interests if you allow it; you can change your choice at any time in Profile → App Settings → Ads.
Go to Profile → Account → "Delete Account"; to confirm you type your password (or your username, if you sign in with Google or Apple). It takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. To request deletion without installing the app, use https://evortagim.app/hesap-sil. If you are in a household, the other members are notified that you left; your balance on that day is noted in History and recorded in the "Balances with Former Members" list your housemates see. Requests you started that are still waiting for approval (balance reset, reset everything, deposit change, payment reports) are cancelled automatically and show as "Cancelled" on the Approvals screen.
Yes, but only in your own account. The trash icon on the History screen, "Clear Resolved" on the Approvals screen and the trash icon in the "Balances with Former Members" list on Payments remove those records from your list. Other household members keep seeing them until they clear them themselves; the records are not deleted, and pending approvals are not touched.
Small fixes download in the background when you open the app and apply automatically the next time you open it; they need no store update. When a new version is released, a "New Version Available" notice appears when you open the app; tap "Update" to go to the store or "Later" to continue. If your version is no longer supported, an "Update Required" screen appears and you need to update to continue; your account and data are not affected.
Your data is stored in an access-controlled database; your housemates can only see the expense information you share while you are in the same household. See the Privacy Policy and KVKK Privacy Notice for more.
